I'm waiting to feel different. I'm waiting for the cravings to go away. I'm waiting to not be so hungry.
We are past the half way mark and I have to be honest and say I just don't feel much different. Just this week my digestive system has started working a little more regular if you know what I mean. So hopefully that will continue (which was one of my goals through this diet). But I don't really feel much different energy wise. Seth is feeling pretty good.
He actually got mad at me today because I'm eating so much! He was mad because I ate some stir fry leftovers as a snack and it could have been a meal (I think that was a little optimistic of him considering the portion size that was left). He pointed out that I eat more than him and he weights close to 60 pounds more than me. Well, it's not like I'm gaining weight here folks.
I think this has helped me try some things that I would not have before. So far here is what I think I can continue:
- Drinking my coffee and tea black (or with a little unsweetened coconut milk)
- Using just vinegar and oil for salad dressing
- Incorporating more vegetables into breakfast
- Eating healthier snacks that aren't just carb bombs (i.e. cereal)
On a positive note, we found a good restaurant to eat at- Jason's Deli. They have an amazing salad bar and good vinegar and oil for dressing. I just had to put my blinders on when I walked past the soft serve ice cream machine.
I think I've decided I will introduce dairy into my diet first when I get off this.
