The "Honey Do" List Gets Shorter

As most of you probably know, Seth gets a lot of time off over Christmas.  It is an awesome perk of working at the university.  I've been anticipating this extra time for him to complete one of the big projects on my list-our office/playroom.

Seth keeps telling me he's not a wood worker, but I would argue that he is becoming one ;) He does a great job with the projects around the house.    

The best part of this small remodel is that we got all of the shelving, cabinets and counter top from the Habitat Re-Store.  If you haven't been there you must check it out (I think there's one in Springfield too).  We have been going there off and on for several months looking for just the right stuff and we found it all in time to get the project done over Seth's time off.  We only had to paint two cabinets.  The shelves were already finished.  The grand total for this was around $140.

I was pumped about how easy it was to get rid of our old desk. I actually posted it on a local Facebook group around 1:30 New Year's Day and it was being hauled out at 4:15 that same afternoon!  We gave it away because it was given to us.  

I'm so excited to have this great new space.
