Eight Months and On The Move

It was a more teeth less sleep kind of month around our house.  This photo sums it up...

Not the most flattering photo of myself but I think it gets the point across.  After Seth snapped this photo I about jumped out of the chair and then woke Willa up.  Good thing it was 7 a.m. by this point.  Don't worry I had only been in the chair for about an hour.

Just when we thought we were getting somewhere this past month with sleeping she cut two more teeth.  Then I went back to work for a few days and our routine was thrown off completely.  We're still trying to get back on track.  But we are quickly learning that it's always something new.

At eight months things are much different.  We've got outlet covers on and all our valuables up high because she is now on the move.
At first, we would use remotes and cell phones to motivate her.  Of course, she always crawls to the things she can't have.
We have also been trying all different kinds of foods.  I don't think she cared for brussel sprouts.

We aren't doing baby food.  We've pretty much just been giving her whatever we eat, when appropriate.  She hasn't shown much of an interest yet, but I'm not too worried because she seems to be doing just fine without it.  She loves to drink water.  She mostly drinks out of regular cups (mine) but will drink out of the sippy cup too.

I am most excited that she is now totally fine with taking a bottle.  She even took one before bed the other night when I was gone and did great for daddy.  It was the first time I was not there for the bedtime routine.

Here is a link to her most recent photo shoot (courtesy of Impressions Photograph-Cindy Smith).

And just for fun here are some comparisons in the old monkey, which has finally moved on to a new home for a while so baby boy Devlin (coming in October) can sleep in him.
