I'm a Nerd

I have toyed with the idea of an electric vehicle but after having the chance to drive one today I decided I love them!  


The Mitsubishi Motors plant in Normal commemorated the start of production of the Outlander Sport so the Governor and other head honchos from the company were in town.  Town of Normal decided it would be a good idea to get as many I-MiEV vehicles together and have a little parade through the parking lot as the dignitaries watched.  

Then we had a police escort back to Carl's Ice Cream for a special event.  My favorite part was this awesome cake...

The Town of Normal is very forward thinking.  They have put together an Electric Vehicle Task Force, which I have been part of on occasion.  They are trying to make it an EV friendly town and have caught national attention with their efforts.  Here's a great website they have put together- www.evtown.org

Meanwhile, I will have to keep saving money, if I ever hope to get an electric vehicle.
