This past month flew by. I realized towards the end of the month I needed to step up my picture taking or I wouldn't have anything for the update.
Seems like Leo has taken a mental leap. He's starting to put a few words together and continues to communicate better with his words this month. We are working on shapes, colors & numbers. Mainly just by reading books and me pointing things out. But right now when I ask him what color something is he says "two" or sometimes it's "pink". We are thrilled that he has actually started sleeping better this month in his own bed! We've even gotten a couple of "through the nights". YEAH!
He really likes to play outside. We've had a few nice days and I've just sent him and his sister out in the back yard and they have kept themselves entertained for 15-20 minutes. He doesn't like to get as messy as big sis. One time he came back to the door asking for a rag so I could wipe the dirt off his hands! He does seem to like the sandbox. He absolutely loves the stroller and wagon. After our recent walks I can hardly get him out of the stroller. He just sits there saying "more". He also really likes to swing. At the park that's the main thing he does. He even tried out the big kid swing on our set in the back yard. He just giggled and giggled the first time I put him on there.
He still wants to "help" us all the time. Especially when someone is working at the kitchen counter. He always pulls up a chair from the table and stands right beside you. He's been good at following directions. I love that he's learning to pick up his toys at night and will hang up his coat when we get home!
Balls & water--two of his most favorite things.
He always wants to walk forward down the steps but will always wait for a hand at home. He's tried a few at steps at the bottom on his own. But at the museum where he could hold on he made it all the way down!
We had a chance to meet baby Tyler and Leo just loved him!
Playing on Grandpa's phone.
Sitting on his couch and playing catch.
On a side note--it's crazy that when I went back to look at Willa's update I also had a picture of her painting at the museum and she got to meet our friend's babies and loved it.
