Lots of development happening for the little guy this past month. His language continues to expand and improve. He's still not really putting more than one word together at least not to where we can understand what he's saying.
His new thing is trying to put clothes on. In the morning he knows when it's time to get dressed and tries to pick out his clothes and get them on. He has also learned how to take his shirt off. Most of the time he's running around the house with just pants--so his monthly photo was perfect this time around.
I have no idea what he weighs. We don't have a working scale in our house and thankfully we haven't had to go to the doctor recently. His eating has slowed down lately. We have been through bad colds and yucky stomach bugs so that might be part of it. It's funny because he seems to like his vegetables better than meat, the opposite of his sister. So they often finish each others plates. He'll take her vegetables and she'll take his meat.
He wants to "help" with everything around the house. As soon as I try to do something in the kitchen, he's dragging a chair up to the counter beside me. He's also obsessed with the vacuum and steam mop and always wants to do it. He has two play vacuums but still insists on dragging the steam mop out of the closet. It's cute but exhausting.
His favorite thing to do right now is throw the ball around and play "catch". He will sit in the living room with dad and do this forever. He also likes to play with the doll house and dolls. He's starting to play better with sis but still likes to bite or pinch her on occasion. Since we've been home so much with sickness they seem to have gotten better at playing together and enjoy just playing around the house.
Unfortunately, he also likes to play on the tablet. He likes to play "hog" (Pepe Pig Paint). It's so funny. He also watches some TV with sis. He's always really excited about it at first but loses interest quickly. Poor second child is getting way more screen time than the first, but that's life.
He doesn't use the headphones but he did this all by himself when we were trying to get ready for bed.
He likes his new bottom bunk but still likes to spend most of the night with mom & dad. And when he's upset at night his favorite spot is to lay right on mom's chest and be snuggled like a baby. I have to admit that I love it. I'm hanging onto moments like those.
He got his first haircut...
He looks like such a big boy with the new do! And speaking of looking like a big boy. I got the balance bike out for him and he really likes it. So hopefully he'll use it! Big sis never figured it out.
