Twenty-Two Months

My little ball of fire is really starting to understand things.  I'm always surprised and excited about what she remembers-especially song lyrics.  :-)  Right now she is loving to sing and be sang to.  Sometimes it gets old for mom to be constantly taking requests "Mommy sing it" but I still try to humor her most of the time because I'm thrilled about her love of music and hope it continues.  She knows a lot of songs by heart.  She's also really into nursery rhymes.  I personally am not a huge fan of the nursery rhyme book because some of them are so weird.  The other day I told her I would read one more book and she grabbed the giant nursery rhyme one...smart girl.  She will sit for 15 minutes plus with me and read that book.

She has a ton of energy.  One of her favorite things to do right now is run circles in through our house.  Sometimes the first things she says to Seth as he walks in the door from work is "daddy chase you".  She loves it when we chase her around and around.  You would think with all the running around she does that she would be so wore out and sleep so good.  Well, I've learned she's not your average child. :-)

Her dexterity is also improving a lot.  She can put on most of her shoes. She's also got a shirt and pants on by herself!  She is also learning to pedal her tricycle-a slight down incline is the only way she can do it at this point.

Her allergies are at their worst right now and we're really just trying to sort through things.  We had more testing done and have had to recently cut out soy and almonds to see if that will help.  Her eczema is horrible and I feel so bad that there's not much we can do for her.   She wakes up in the middle of the night saying "itch, itch".  Breaks my heart.

We got to see the Alt twins this past month.  Willa was very excited about it.  We had their birth announcement on the fridge so I told her ahead of time we were going to see them as we would look at their pictures.  She was talking about them for days after our visit.
She was thrilled to hold Jordyn.

But the excitement wore off by the time she got Adalyn.

Drinking at the splash park. She loves to drink out of the water hose too.

Love her hair but I rarely do it because she likes to pull them out.

Gave her this storage container and told her it was a bath tub.  It kept her busy for a while.

She is just now old enough to really enjoy the Children's Discovery Museum.

Dad wrapped her up like a "baby burrito"

Loves carrying her babies.

She loves my homemade pesto sauce.
And I'll leave you with some of the out takes from this month's photo.  It always funny how hard it is to get one decent picture.
