Update-I actually wrote the post below last week but didn't publish it. I'll be 38 weeks tomorrow and today I felt better than I have in weeks. The pain has improved so I had some energy!
I will try my best to make this a positive post, but be forewarned there will be some complaining. I'm considered full-term now that I've hit the 37 week mark in this pregnancy. It's a pregnancy that is nothing like my first! I don't recall ever hitting a point with Willa were I was like "I'm done", but I've come to that in this pregnancy.
I'm thankful that many of my pregnancy symptoms have been mild compared to what they could be. However, as I approach my due date it has been very painful and uncomfortable. I've had some bad butt and back pain- to the point that I really just don't want to walk. That's when it hurts the worst. I can get comfortable sitting. But let's be honest, how in the world do you rest when you have a energetic two-year-old (who's trying really hard to give up her nap) to entertain! On top of the pain I'm having a lot of Braxton Hicks contractions and I have to pee about every 10 minutes.
So enough complaining-I can get through the next few weeks! I'm happy to have made it this far without any major problems and the baby is healthy and moving like crazy. I can't believe I only have a few weeks! I finally started getting baby stuff out. I'm so excited to find out if it's a boy or girl and to just hold the little one. I love the newborn stage. I'm just trying to prepare myself for how it will be this time around with Willa too.
Willa is a mommy's girl but we've been talking to her and preparing her as much as possible. I know she's senses the coming change. She has been very clingy and just wants me to play with her all the time. The other day I was telling her to please just go play by herself for a while. Seth told her she needed to play by herself and then told her mommy would be busy when the baby comes so what was she going to do then? She responded "play by myself". She also been doing a really good job at sleeping in her own bed.
Here is a photo my Aunt Denise took at about 35-weeks.
