Sweet Sixteen...Months

When Willa was only about six or seven months old I took her to this program at the library called "Baby Rock".  It's for birth to age 4 and it's a laid back 20 minute session where there is singing, dancing and reading.  I remember there was this one adorable little girl who was just all over the place.  So full of energy and so curious.  I just thought, wow she is on the go.  Well, I was at Baby Rock this week trying to corral Willa as best as possible and it suddenly hit me-Willa is just like that little girl!  She has so much energy.  When they started playing the first dancing song Willa went crazy.  One of the mom's smiled big and looked at me and said "she's ready to party!"  That pretty much sums it up for us.

For those of you who don't know, I think it's safe to say that Seth was a wild child!  I have always told him I think it was in big part because he had four older siblings egging him on.  But I'm beginning to think more of that was genetics.  Willa is her daddy.  Yikes, I'm already exhausted trying to keep up with her some days.  But it does make for a lot of fun.

This past month her imagination has just blossomed.  She has so much fun playing with her kitchen and "eating" her food.  I have seen her feed her baby dolls and even blow their noses.  The other day she let me suction her nose only after I did it on the baby first.

She is also starting to test us.  She'll climb up and stand on the kitchen chair and just look at me like "what are you going to do now?"  She has also started getting upset when she doesn't want to do something, like get her diaper changed.  She pretty much hates it.  Is that an age thing?  I really don't know, but it's annoying.  Although, I'm excited because she has started telling me when she poops. I feel like this is the first step in potty training (I know, I have a long way to go).

Willa got her first haircut this month.  Granni just gave her a little trim.  She sat fairly still.

I can't believe that I haven't even attempted to put her hair in pony or pig tails yet.  I'll be honest, I've thought about it a lot but the only reason I haven't is because I don't have any pony tail holders!

She's still eating pretty good.  Avocados are a staple in her diet but she usually eats whatever we're having or at least tries it.

She still hasn't been out in the snow.  Mainly because it's been too cold and I'm kinda lazy in that I don't want to bundle her all up.  If I had a sled I might but I figure to just go out it's not really worth it.  So I brought the snow in to her.

She had lots of fun with it.  She ended up throwing it all over the kitchen.  It was great-she had a blast.

Sleep is still a struggle.  But she's so darn cute when I can get her down in the crib.  This is her position...

Right now we are on a never ending teething spree.  Those eye teeth are horrible.  By far this is the worst she has ever been when cutting teeth.  They are so close but just won't pop through.

She is really into hats and putting things on her head as a hat.  She is so funny because she puts on this stalking cap over her eyes and walks around the kitchen.  I caught part of it on video...

She is pure entertainment everyday!
