One Month

I am a little behind, but I'm sure you all can understand I've been a little busy and not had too much time for blogging.  It's likely my future post will be short and sweet.  Honestly, I've thought about calling it quits on this because I hate how I can't keep up but I think it will be nice to have these notes someday to look back on.

First and foremost, I am amazed at how quickly the day goes by.  Like that feeling when it's almost time for Seth to come home from work and I realize I'm still wearing my pajamas!  Around five weeks I, for some reason, started to try and be super mom but it soon caught up with me.  So I've decided life is too short and I'm going to take it easy (which is really hard for my brain to let me do).  There is nothing that I HAVE to get done right now.  I'm scaling back my expectations and going to accomplish one or two things a day...and sometimes that's just a shower :)  

This first month has been a blast.  I can honestly say we're not pulling our hair out and I feel like I'm getting some rest.  She is a frequent eater but goes down well at night, most of the time, so we've got a nice little routine going.  I know, I've been warned as soon as you think things are going well then she'll change it up on us.

It's obvious she's a good eater with her chubby cheeks and weight gain.  But I have to say the camera really does add a few ounces in her cheeks.  Yes, she does have very chubby cheeks but they look much bigger in photos...like so big, that's all you see :)

This picture was from a few days ago so you can even see how much she's changed (cheek size) since the one month photo.  

We attempted to take some photos by the Christmas tree but it didn't really go too well.  Not really what I had envisioned.  So we will have to do a retake.  

Seth and I just look awkward in this one and not very happy...

 But then we were cracking up about the whole ordeal and how hard it was just to get one photo...
