I Am Reliving My College Days

I know, it's crazy I can be doing that with a two month old!  But I'm not talking about partying all night (unless it's a breastfeeding party).  I have become one of those moms and I'm not ashamed-getting dressed in the morning means putting on a clean pair of sweatpants.  I always missed college and being able to wear pajama pants out of the house.  Well, don't worry, I don't wear "pajama" pants out of the house (like the plaid print kind).  But I am not afraid to wear my comfy pants (as I call them).

I ventured out to Aldi on my own the other day (in comfy pants).  We live two minutes from the store so she wasn't in her car seat long enough to have a melt-down and the temperatures were in the 40s so I had those things going for me.  I decided the best plan would be to put her in the sling.  That worked well.  She ended up falling asleep.  But it was strange to have everyone trying to help me.  I really appreciated it, but I'm not used to that.  The check out lady got up and helped me unload my cart and then the lady who was behind me in line made her husband ask me if I needed help when I was loading my bags into the car.  I picked the worst grocery store to go to since there are so many self serve aspects to it.  I told Seth I think I appreciate Sam's Club more now.  I can see why people stock up on stuff.  Going to the store will never be the same (when I have Willa in tow).

Willa has started this thing and she only likes to take good naps about every two or three days.  Sometimes no matter how hard I try she just won't stay asleep when I put her down or won't even go to sleep.  Sometimes I'll just give up by the afternoon and if she goes to sleep I'll just lay down with her and try to nap myself so she'll actually stay asleep.  As you can see below, she enjoys this.

Don't worry about all the pillows (suffocation hazards) around her.  She didn't stay like that for long.

I'll leave you with some of the recent pics.

Here she is saying "daddy why are you putting me in this horrible thing".
But then she decided it isn't too bad (at least for five minutes).
Here she is all decked out for church (one boot fell off as soon as we got to there).
I know, it's hard to believe I have all these smiling pictures in the car seat.
