Quarantine Birthday Celebration

What a fourth birthday celebration! It was definitely one that I will never forget. Thanks to the Corona Virus we have been in quarantine for a month and a half and had to celebrate with friends and family on Zoom.

Before the celebration Leo had a busy day that included a trip to the local toy store to pick up some of his gifts (curbside, no contact pick-up, of course). The birthday boy picked Chick-Fil-A for lunch and chicken nuggets and french fries for dinner. He even had a special birthday visitor who kept his distance.

And he got some fun birthday mail too!

The birthday on sing along on Zoom was fun! We decorated the basement and had it all set up on the big screen TV so he could see everyone.

Leo is so full of energy and ornery. He likes to play tricks on us and is very sneaky when he does. As you can probably conclude from his birthday theme, he is obsessed with firefighters. He carries all his gear and boots around the house and places it just so each day. He loves all sports and riding his bicycle, which he just learned to do without training wheels this spring! He is also a fan of superheros.

A look back at the year.

Chasing the garbage truck on his bike.
 Mother's Day

He loves to go to the driving range and putting green with dad.
July was a busy month. We started out camping with Granni & Grandpa in 90 degree weather! As you can see Leo still needed his naps.

We also went to the Ozarks with the Brockmeyer family. Leo had a breakthrough with swimming on that trip. He got lots of practice and became very comfortable in the water.

We ended the month with a short Amtrak ride to Pontiac for Leo's first movie theater experience. We saw Space Jam with our friends.

His first face painting experience at the county fair didn't end well. He fell asleep in the car and rubbed his face.

First day of school for big sis and Leo got more time with mom.

He ended the summer in big boy pants thanks to a big incentive.

 The yearly Rader Farms measure.

He loved getting to spend time with one of his best buds once a week.

Dentist found one cavity he had to get filled.

 Snow on Halloween!
