Sixteen Months and On the Run
I'm behind in getting this done. You wouldn't think it would be so hard to get the little guy in a rocking chair and take a picture. But it was this past month! And I thought I had a good one but when I sat down and looked his face was a little blurry. Ugh. Oh well. Just so you understand what I'm working with here where some outtakes. He pretty much throws everything, these blocks included. Sometimes he even grunts when he throws.
This boy is fast. He has learned to run from his sister and thinks it's funny to run from me, especially when it's time for a diaper change. Over the past month he has tried his hardest to keep up with the big kids. He has become fearless at the playground. He'll head to the biggest slide and go down with no hesitation.
He's developing independence but will often check back in to make sure mommy doesn't get away. He's mastered the back arch and can throw himself on the floor like a pro when he doesn't get his way.
He is still not saying too many words but comprehends things well. He loves dogs and almost every time we go outside he looks across the street for the neighbors dogs and makes his barking sound.
Score one for Leo for keeping his eyes open! Matching outfits handmade by Granni :-)
Showing off his skills at open gym at a local gymnastics place.
They have had lots of fun visiting grandma and grandpa and playing in the rock box (it's pea gravel instead of sand)
One of his new skills is climbing up slides.
He will let you push, pull or give him a ride in something all day long.
This moment was the sweetest. She was sharing her Popsicle. She is actually really good about sharing food and feeding him. They are started to get along a little better and actually play together occasionally.
