My baby boy is one! I just want
time to slow down. It went quickly with Willa but it seems to be going even
quicker with Leo. We have our struggles (with sleep) and some of the days are
long but I have managed to keep both children in one piece for an entire year.
Ha!
The title of this post is a little misleading--he's really not wild. Not wild like his sister kind of wild. He seems to be much more easy going. As long as he's got mom and can get the milk when he needs it, he's good to go.

Leo
is a fast crawler who is exploring everything around the house now. Every time he
hears us open a door, like the pantry or fridge, he takes off to get into it.
We have to make sure all doors and cabinets are closed or he will find them! But
he is also ready to take off walking. He took his first steps on April
30. I sat him down and he just walked away from me. He took three
to four steps before he fell down!
He
is entertained by his sisters antics but not amused by her smothering him. He
throws his ball like a champ and chases it around the house. He loves to
climb the stairs-he zips to them as soon as he hears me open the gate. He
hasn't learned to come down them just yet but we're working on it. He likes to
play outside and crawl around in the grass and on the patio. Stroller
rides are still a favorite.
He
still doesn't like to sleep by himself but he's starting to get used to it for
short stretches. He doesn't like to sit still to have his diaper changed or get
clothes on. Seth says it's like trying to dress a spider monkey. We
usually have to give him something he typically shouldn't play with to get him
to stay still so we can get his diaper on (cell phone, jewelry, etc.).
He's
a big eater. His favorite food seems to be most meats, but chicken
especially. He seems to be a meat and potatoes kind of boy. We can't
really get him to eat avocado, banana or peas. He loves strawberries and
cantaloupe.
He went for his first bicycle ride with dad and liked it. He even kept his helmet on! (pic was taken after ride)
Easter morning
Got a big boy water bottle because he loves to drink water out of our bottles.
Got a fun chair from Uncle Tracy for his birthday.
We had a great birthday party with friends and family. Leo did great. He was happy as usual.
Granni & Grandpa made the cake & cupcakes.
THIS...It says so much. My face is like, "how hard is it for us all to look at the camera". Then there is that silly piece of hair I can never keep back. Seth is trying to keep Willa from running away. I finally told her if she didn't sit still for a pic then she wouldn't get any cupcakes. As you can see it worked.
I didn't give him much time to play in the cake. He was whining for me to pick him up and I wasn't a fan of the black icing.
"All these new toys, but I think I'll just chew on the bag!"
He had some good helpers.
