This is Long Overdue

I have to be honest and say I have not been in the mood to do any writing lately.  I've thought so many times about how I needed to do this update and that update, but it has been at the bottom of my list so I've never really gotten to it.  

First and foremost, as everyone probably already knows baby number two is on the way! 

Yes, this is my official blog announcement.  It comes as I'm already halfway through this pregnancy.  I know, no creativity on this one.  What everyone says is turning out to be true so far.  The second pregnancy/child is different.  

First of all, I was actually sick with this pregnancy.  So between the nausea and taking care of a two-year-old I wasn't getting much of anything done during the first trimester.  But I'm feeling much better now and everything is going great.  The soreness and aches are setting in a little earlier this time around but that's to be expected.  My belly has really "popped" in the last few weeks.  Here's my 20 week and first official belly shot.  

 Now if I could only have that backdrop for each monthly update that would be amazing.  It's from our recent trip to Isla Mujeres, Mexico.

I'm also much worse at following the "rules" this time around.  Not that I was super cautious with Willa, but this time around I eat lunch meat, sneak a bite of cookie dough every once in a while, and the other day I forgot and ate some soft cheese.  

With Willa I kept track of my weight gain and took regular photos.  As I already mentioned, the 20-week photo was my first and I stopped looking at the scale a long time ago.  I didn't gain much at first because I wasn't eating too much more than normal due to some aversions and just feeling yucky.  But now the cravings have kicked in full force.  I don't care to see the numbers go up.  I didn't have any problems losing the weight before so let's hope that holds true this time around also.

So far it seems like Willa is really excited.  She gets it and even told someone who had a baby that she was going to have a baby at her house that was in mommy's belly.  

We are not going to find out the sex this time either.  I don't really have any feeling about it so far.  Seth is, of course, hoping for a boy.  Willa started out saying it was going to be a baby boy but now she's back and forth.
