Burp Rags and Boob Pads

This is my life now.  The title of this post was part of a phrase I muttered to Seth a while back and he said it would be a great name for my blog.  I've taken it under consideration but I think we'll just stay with Bizzy Brockmeyers for now.

Most of you reading this probably already know that I chose to stay at home with baby girl full time.  I know I'm only three months into it but I would say this is one of the best decisions I have made.  I admire all of the working mothers because at this point in my motherhood journey I can't imagine going back to work--makes me so tired just to think about it.

While I loved my job and have always thrived on being busy we had been planning for several years so that I would be able to enjoy an early retirement (as I call it).  Willa and I have no shame in saying Seth is now our "sugar daddy".

I know everyone has warned me that time flies.  So Willa and I are enjoying spending our days together and I'm doing my best to take it one moment at a time.

It's such a blessing to be able to see her grow and change everyday.  I'm still getting the hang of some of my new responsibilities, like cooking.  Seth has always been the chef in our house, but I have been trying to do more in the kitchen (besides washing dishes).  It's also amazing how much laundry I do now a days (it's worse in our house because we cloth diaper).  I'm also adjusting to not getting things done as quickly as I once could.

I feel like I have a good balance because I am still doing some part-time work.  I handle my former bosses campaign (so technically he's still my boss).  Much of the work is done from home and I am able to take Willa into the office with me when I do have to go in.

I will admit it's still kinda weird to refer to myself as a SAHM (stay at home mom) but I'm getting there.  It's just the beginning of a whole new journey!

  1. Being a SAHM is the most important job you will ever have! Enjoy every little second...as time flies so fast!
