I started this blog anticipating to write about all of our crazy adventures but then life came to an unexpected halt for a time being and I didn't have much to write about. I actually considered giving it up recently, but Seth encouraged me to keep going. The good news is that we have a busy end of summer, fall and winter so hopefully I'll have exciting things to write about.
I am pumped about all our upcoming trips but I am most looking forward to our December trip to Mexico. We will be spending six nights and seven wonderful days on an island across from Cancun called Isla Mujeres. It's only about five miles long and a mile wide. We are staying at a small oceanfront place called Casitas del Mar. I envision myself doing lots of reading and sleeping on this vacation.
But before we head to Mexico there are a few weekend trips coming up. Seth's rescheduled half Ironman is in two weeks. We are going to Benton Harbor, Michigan for that but will only be staying one night. I look forward to a stop at the outlet mall in Michigan City with lunch at Shoreline Brewery and I also need to find a Trader Joe's so I can go stock up on my cookie butter. We also have another Indy trip planned in November. Seth tells me he will be running the Monumental Marathon that weekend. I'll just be cheering on the sidelines for that one. September and October are pretty much filled with shorter races around Central Illinois for me.
