Plagued by Injuries

This is a snapshot of an evening ritual in our house…rolling yourself out. 





Seth seems to always have some kind of knot he needs to work out.  Most recently, his foot has been bothering him.  Tomorrow morning he will be back at the pool after taking about 10 days off-no swimming, running or biking.  That seems like a short period of time to most but he is getting very anxious.  He will soon have to hit the training hard because he and my good friend Corrinne have signed up for a half-ironman in Muncie, IN on July 7.  Seth has been talking about doing one for several years so I finally convinced him to just do it.  He will be swimming 1.2 miles, bicycling 56 miles, and then running 13.2 miles.   While I keep telling Corrinne she’s not crazy for signing up, I prefer to watch this one from the sidelines.   My next race is the St. Patrick’s Day 5K in Bloomington on March 11.  Yes, that's 3.1 miles and I'm content with that for now!  I got my fill of running while training for the half-marathon last fall.
